Catering Module 2: Food preparation and cooking.

Summary This module gives learners the opportunity to practise numeracy and literacy skills that they will need in the kitchen, e.g. stock rotation, weighing ingredients, time and temperature, using equipment safely. One of four modules support the teaching of Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in Catering. The 4 modules do not supply a complete programme of learning. Instead, aspects of the training that place a particular demand on literacy, language and numeracy skills have been prioritised.
