Summary This module focuses on the underpinning literacy and numeracy skills needed by customer-facing employees in the rail industry, including: understanding roles and responsibilities, reading workplace policies and procedures, understanding timetables, working out best-value fares, communicating by radio and mobile phone, using the phonetic alphabet to communicate, understanding station reports, understanding a rule book, cashing up, completing short forms, reporting accidents and incidents and making announcements.
