Resources for Practitioners

In addition to the Adult ESOL Core Curriculum and the materials for ESOL diagnostic assessment, the practitioners’ page contains two good practice guides on individual learning plans and ESOL Access for All, which supports inclusive learning for bilingual learners with learning difficulties or disabilities. Practitioners will also find Entry 1 Reading and Entry 1 Writing divided into ‘basic literacy’ and ‘non basic literacy’ versions (from updated curriculum 2008).

On a separate page, practitioners will find all levels of the Skills for Life ESOL learning materials (2003) which include teacher’s notes and audio clips.

An interactive version of the adult ESOL core curriculum can be found in ‘Useful external links’.
